HID's, Tires, and compatibility

I have a 2009 F150 Fx4.

As far as HID's go, whats the main differences between 6k, 8k, and 10k
Also, can you convert harley davidson headlights to HID? If so is there one brand better than the next?

Next, a 37x12.5 r18 probably wont fit without scrubbing, but if I put a 2.5inch level on, would it scrub? Or would I need to put a lift on? Alternately, would a 3 inch level hurt anything? I know I had one on a F150 2wd once, but I'm guessing a 3 inch on a Fx4 won't go without repercussions.

Any advice would be nice,

Thanks.

A lot of searching is to be had for all these things..googling hid temp spread wood probably show u the differences I hav no knowledge of how HD light houses differ from others..for 37,s I'm thinking u need a 4 inch lift but will probably be corrected..in searching 3"levels are no good for f150's

my point there is googling will get you all of these answers. even searching this forum will get you all of those answers.

37s will fit but theyll rub

the 3 inch level will cause problems. stick with a 2.
as you get bigger numbers with hids you get less light output but more flashy colors
hids can be put in just about anything the cheap way.
the proper way is to use proper projectors or else youre going to blind everyone

Stick to 2.5" at the most with a level and 35's if you want no rubbing. Without knowing the actual specs of the 37's you want I can't guess how bad the rubbing will be but it'd be a lot less with an actual lift.

If you want hids go with a retrofit, nothing more annoying than someone driving around with pnp cheap ones and it always looks like they have their high beams on.

This ^ retrofit or bust. Or buy 2013 headlights and get the adapter harness.. 4300k is oem off white 5000k is pure white 6000k is whitish blue and 8000k is blue. The farther you get away from 4300k the less usable light you get..
