Coy, I gotta say these HID's are the bee's knees. Get out in the back yard, and dig up one of those rusty cans full of money. That is if Momma don't mind.

And the second thing is the Damn Lights!! This is the 4th Ford truck in the last 5 years and they suck on LOW beams. My 03 kr and Both 07's and now the 13.. Why cant ford get brighter lights? Is there anything i can do without going to the HIDS?

Other than these 2 issues i love the truck..
The 9008/h13 bulb is the most focussed challenged bulb on the market....

for around $1200 the oem projector are an improvement but the fluted lens still holds them back...imo

the most economical route is retrofitting yer stock housings with fxr's...this can be done relatively qwick as long as Pat is doing the work...

typically if you sent them off to get done yer looking at $500-$900 range....

good luck....start looking at some threads in illumination and lighting

I have a set of DDM tuning 55w HID's in a 4,500 for the head lampa and a set of DDM HID's 35w 4,500 in the fogs and it is night and day. I have owned many fords and the only factory setup I have had that is great is the projector HID's in my 2012 5.0 stang.

The regular headlights do suck, I went SS Ultra bulbs in the last two. The HID's on the 13's are a huge improvement over the standard set-up, but I'd have a hard time rationalizing that expense if I didn't already have them.

And yes the reflection is annoying.... been dealing with it since 2010....

It may be worth trying a set of SS Ultras or other premium OEM replacements before dropping the big bucks on HID.

the factory projectors are a big nut for sure. The problem with just tossing in the HID's are there is no focus at all and with that light it now looks broken up when casted out on the road but brighter.

I do most of my driving in my 92 Bronco. Whenever I drive it at night I say to myself these headlights suck. So compared to what I'm used to....when I drive my '11 F150 at night I say to myself these headlights are outstanding.
