EcoBoost Performance Upgrades

EcoBoost Performance Upgrades
Ok I am looking to buy a 2011 or 2012 ecoboost and what to get some input.
I want to do some easy bolt on performance upgrades, for starters an air intake, chip, and full exhaust. What brands should I be looking at?
Also are there any other upgrades that are worth looking into?
Keep in mind price isn't a huge issue but I do want the most bang for my buck.

As far as performance Mods
1. Livernois AIW tuner (very good reviews)
2. Heart Throb Cat back exhaust (supposivley gets a extra 39hp)
Id stick with the stock intake.. Between these 2 things it should wake it up pretty good

look at the thread about dry air filters. Stock intake provides more air than the engine requires. It also keeps it from getting heat soak longer than after market. Plain and simple it is very good. Not much that i have found will be any better.

I'm in Iowa as a reference. He even laughed at the $12k. He said he can sell even the ugly trucks for about $8k off sticker all day long right now. Granted our ag. economy is running strong, and there are a lot of buyers in Iowa.
Anyway, show me the dealers where $14k is available, and I'll drive anywhere in the US to purchase, and pocket the $4-5k extra when I buy my next truck.

What part of the country are people getting 14k off a 2013 truck? I actually emailed this to my sales guy, and he called me back 30 seconds after he read it. In his past 7 years of selling, he's never seen a current model year (which means next model year trucks aren't on the lots) F150 receive $14,000 in total discounting with/without trade, with/without financing.

The "ugly" trucks may be less off because they will be worth less and won't have the same rebates.
From another forum: "I just bought my 13 FX4 5.0 screw on Monday. Truck is loaded with everything available on a FX4 except 20" wheels and tailgate step. Sticker was $49k and I paid $37k for it. Bought it at Fairway Ford in Ohio. They do 25% off the sticker on all their F150's. I bought mine outright with no trade."

AFE Pro Dry Intake System http://www.afeintakestore.com/afe-in...ost-f-150.html
As for exhaust depends on what you want it to sound like, and livernois has been fairly consistent with tuning options.

There are several factors at play I believe
1 - some trucks provide a rebate to the dealer - in 2012 it was a chrome and tow package that kicked back extra money to the dealer. Ford does this to encourage all the dealers to buy the same combination of options to make the builds easier.
(some dealers give this incentive to the buyer... thats why they list a specific model for the low price)
2 - Some dealers get better pricing from Ford. The more vehicles you sell, the lower the price from Ford. There is a dealer in Indiana that has very low pricing on new vehicles... because they sell all the chassis to the RV industry so their volume is huge.
- some dealers pass some of this savings along to the buyer.
3 - some dealers are willing to sell trucks at lower margins. Be prepared to be low-balled on your trade-in. In my experience they will try to make up the rest of the profit on the trade.
