I dont think i posted my lambo green raptor conversion on here but thos is how she looks right now. 12" lift, 22x11 fuel hostage, 40x15.50x22 toyo open country with a whole new paint job an tons of goodies

 

Well im tired of the way it looks an want something more aggressive. So changing the whole paint scheme.

 

 

Creative, but I can see how you'd get tired of that color.. Interested to see where it goes.

 

In my opinion you should go back to the stock (2012+) wheels and stock size tires, stock grille that says Ford on the front, stock mirrors, lose the lift, and change the paint color to red. It will still look custom and agressive, but less gimmicky so that you won't get tired of it and it will also be more functional/capable.

 

My business is customizing vehicles. If i wanted the OEM look i would buy a stock truck and blend in with everyone.

 

If you're in the business I think you can do better. I hate to say it but it has that West Coast Customs theme that just screams "look at me" and just kills the "look" and off-road capability. But that's one good thing about the Raptor it is correctable with a few changes.

 

A little lift is ok if it has a longer travel suspenion, but 22" wheels are not for off-roading! This is more like a street queen. I prefer mods that make Raptor more Baja capable. I like the approach some of the Sema builders are making, less bling, crap and gimmicks, just build a solid pickup...

Yeah. The bright green has been played out over the last few years. What color scheme are you planning on going with now? I would personally go with black. That look never gets old. It has been common on vehicles for over 100 years now, and Henry Ford thought it was the right color. It isn't as flashy and doesn't stand out, but the lift and goodies will take care of the rest. There are a few lifted black trucks on the road, and on this site though. I can't recall another bright green truck on here at the moment.

 

I like the truck, pretty cool.. Except the grill... I can't stand that look at all...

 

That's because that color dried the fastest. The rest were still tacky when they were off to be sold.

To the OP, I'm all for lifted trucks, but I'd consider another direction with the raptor that utilizes its potential, not hinders it.

 

This isnt a raptor nor do i take it offroad. I build trucks, sell them. Move on to the next truck. Black or murdered out trucks has been played out since like 99. Its still nice but going somewhere different. The truck pretty much draws attention an customers want different mods.

 

This truck sits in the driveway 98% of the time. If i wanted to build a long travel or jump truck i wouldn't start with an f150, prolly something lighter that could jump high an far. Yea the raptor jumps but not like the prerunners that are built strictly for that. My business is customizing and selling. I dont plan on jimping, mudding, burning rubber....

 

Was this on Houston's Craigslist earlier? Definitely looks like a Houston suburb in the background! I think it's badass and I have no idea what everyone is bashing on it for. It is over the top. It's not "tasteful."But that's the whole point! It's supposed to be wildly insane. The guy builds crazy rigs because he has to show them off. It's what he does for a living. He took a 5.0 and did a full Raptor conversion to it because it's awesome and he can. This is not a daily driver, it's a purpose built, extreme show off truck, and it's perfect as that. Btw, 22's wrapped in 40's can do plenty of offroading, there's plenty of rubber there.

 

I think it's pretty cool and different. There are things I would of done different though. I'm really not feeling the body kit on the doors.

What's done to the motor? Gears?
