So, I have been thoroughly enjoying my new truck. However, I have been having problems with the Key Fob. Specifically, shortly after I bought the truck my fiance mentioned that she had noticed the truck fob was now unlocking our 2010 Fusion(the Fusion has an aftermarket Astrostart RSS-5225 autostart). I checked at that time, and her key was doing what she described but mine was functioning correctly. A week or two later, my key began to do the same thing. I went to the local shop that installed the auto start on her car, and they said it was an issue with Ford-not the autostart (helpful, right?). So, I went over to the Ford dealership and had them have a look at it. They said that they thought it was a problem with the autostart, but they would go ahead and reprogram both vehicles so they didnt "overlap" anymore. They did say that there was a slim chance that what was happening was one of us was putting the truck key in the car ignition, and that was reprogramming the frequency on the truck fob. After they reprogrammed both vehicles, the problem went away for a week or two, and then it came back again. I have sent an e-mail to the autostart manufacturer to see if they have any ideas, but I am at a loss. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it, as I am pretty sure if I take it back to the dealer I am just going to hear the same thing. Having the Ford dealer and the local autostart shop pointing fingers at one another isnt helping me......
