Painting door handles

My first post! Just ordered PTM door handles for my 2012 screw. I'm debating whether I should buy aerosol in tuxedo black and clear, spray with a gun, or pay a shop. How hard are either DIY? Will aerosol paint last? Thanks

You're probably already around three hundred dollars in new parts, why would you not want them painted by a professional?

I'm about $120 deep. How much would a shop charge for that ?

Around here you could get it done for about a bill. However, prices do vary from one market to the next. I'd definitely let a shop do it.

How's about posting a link to the outfit where you got a set of paintable handles for a SCREW for 120? That seems like a great price!

Rattle can and painted door handles do not belong in the same sentence. Base clear, after a quality sealer is the only real solution for a permanent fix.

Okay, I'm going to have a shop do it.. I would post before and after pics, but can't figure out how to attach pics??! Here is the link to the eBay auction . These are just rears. If you buy the fronts separate you get 20% off total purchase in your cart. They arent oem, but im sure they will work just fine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/370800822781...84.m1439.l2649

Forgot to mention, the tailgate handle they have listed does not have a key hole so I bought from this seller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151008595556...84.m1439.l2649

I think you'd be better off buying an entire set, already painted from Tasca on ebay. IIRC, they're about $88 each.

Got everything painted including new mirror caps. Unfortunately, the driver handle didn't fit right. Seemed like it was shifted to the left. I tried everything to adjust it, but seems that it was just not an exact fit. Mirror caps look good though! The tailgate handle fit perfect, so I ended up switching that out. So I think I'm just going to leave the rest of the handles chrome. I had the handles painted tuxedo black, but he didn't paint underneath the handle... You can't see it, but you can feel the difference in texture. Iv got the other 3 handles for sale if anyone's interested. Super cheap. Also if you are local il give you my stock grill for free to whomever wants it. I accident snapped 2 clips taking it off ( used double sided tape and works great) I had the grill painted as well and looked awesome, but even with the etching primer, the paint seems to chip off . Always a candidate for plastidip!! I went ahead and bought the Fx4 grill, but isn't as impressed as I thought I would be ( looks kind of plain up close). Il get some pics up here soon. Shoot me an offer for the handles or if you want the free grill( come pick it up)
