Hey all, 2010's gone…..2013 5.0 Red FX2 checking in from San Antonio.

Seriously…why did the auto-dim mirror go away?

Anyone know where I can get OEM (if they still make them) or aftermarket, and id also like the mirror blinkers that face the driver.

Any help you wise folks can offer will help.

Are you talking about the driver side auto-dim mirror? Or passenger side?

 

Drivers side mirror.

 

sgerry, you can probably get the mirrors on ebay, but check into the dimming mirrors as (IIRC) they are controlled by a sensor in the rear view mirror. Don't know if you have the sensor/wiring in your truck or would have to add the entire system. Might be pricy/difficult to install the auto dimming mirrors after the fact.

 

They are available on the FX2 if you get the luxury package or if you get the optional power fold mirrors.

 

my driverside mirror dims on my xlt.. Or atleast im 99 percent sure it does.

 

I lost the dimming mirrors when I upgraded to towing mirrors. It's pretty cool feature when you drive around with your windows down at night. I miss that.

 

Thanks HotLap, I do have the auto dimming rear view mirror. I'll check the dealership, see what the accessory guy says.

 

If you get some part numbers, I'd suggest checking Tasca online. You might save some money.
