I think we only ended up with an 04 Heritage because they were stuck with so many extra parts and trucks. 90% of Heritage units went to fleets and were white base XL's with v6 engines. Was pretty stupid if you ask me.

Also, the only reason they still made old style trucks late in CY 96 was because they had to keep the production line open to make the F250's and 350's which did not change body style until 1998. That's the ONLY reason.

The 2004 heritage was built to deplete leftover parts.
