Opinions on Bilstein 5100 Height Setting

I purchased the Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts and a rear 2" add a leaf to add to my basic 6" procomp lift, my two goals was first to get and extra two inches in the front and rear to fit 37x12.50 tires on my 20x9 rims and second for better ride quality. BUT I originally thought the four settings on the Bilstein was for 0,1,2,2.5" of lift, then I contacted Bilstein and they said no it was more of 0,.75,1.5,2" of lift. So then the dilemma of setting the Bilsteins at 1.5" and having a little rake or setting them at the highest setting so my truck sits perfectly even came in. I would LIKE my truck to sit even, though I have read SO many mixed opinions on the ride quality of these struts set at the highest setting so I just wanted to get some last minute opinions on the matter before I made a finally decision.

Appreciate any EDUCATED opinions!

If I were you I would buy a 2.5" Leveling spacer and leave the bilstien at the 0" setting.

I just today took out 2" Auto Spring spacers and put in Bilstein 5100 adjustables on the highest setting. It sits about exactly the height as the AS 2" spacers did. Looks good, but I'm pretty disappointed in the ride personally. The whole idea of this fairly expensive switch was improving ride quality (which was pretty bad!) and I seemed to have gained very little, if any, ride quality.

If going down a notch is what I have to do, I guess I'll have to. My brand new trucks ride is still way to rough to enjoy IMO. Do the shocks have to be taken completely out again to change the height setting?

Well that is not really an option for me because like I said I already have a basic (stage 1) 6" lift, which means a 6" spacer in the front and blocks in the back. So I do not want to stack a 2.5" spacer on top of a 6" lol.

Yea, I think I'm just gonna deal with the rake it should be minimal anyways. I don't want to hate my ride in my truck for an extra 0.5" of lift. Thanks for the responses, I will post pictures in a couple of weeks when everything is done.

I see what you mean. But I believe they sell. 6" bilstien so if your able to get that then you can do a single spacer on top of the 6" strut assembly. Folk complain about the rough ride with extended bilstien. If your keeping the 6" spacer then buy 2". Rancho quicklift struts
