13 Limited Questions

So I have been a longtime Ford F150 owner and am working on replacing my 2008 Screw. I am new to this forum and was looking for information on the 13 Limited. I love the look of the trucks, ( learning to love the red leather) one of my biggest concerns is the 22 inch wheels/tires. i live in way upstate New York in the Adirondacks and have concerns over handling on rougher roads as well in deep snow. I dont want to sacrifice the handling on the truck in rough weather with wife and kids so I thought that possibly i can get the 20 inch platinum wheels and tires from the dealer if they would do it. The next question would be if I can do that, should i? How much are the 20 vs. 22 inch wheels and tires cost wise. Will the change in size affect the limiteds handling or mechanical operations? Is the Ecoboost gonna be worth it. I ve always followed the bigger v8 more power etc... theory so i have some concerns. Thanks in advance

Any f150 wheel from 2004 to current will fit. The 17's from 04 and part of 05 might not fit a 13, they redesigned the front brakes in 05 and the early 17's had a clearance issue. Stay with a 32" tire outside diameter and your speedo will be very close to the stock 22's.

Newtakeoff has a set of 18" f150 wheels with 275-65-18 goodyears mounted (a 32" tire) for like 1750 you can run those in winter and save you 22's for good weather.

They also have the 18" STX wheel with the same tires for 1550 a set

I plan to run a 22 in the winter. Tires are reasonable I think, no more than the 20s. The factory wheel finish is designed for use year round, as long as they are cleaned regularly.

I have a set of dealer take off 22" 2013 Limited Wheels on my 2010 Lariat and I can tell you they are better in every way than the 18" standard wheels that came on it. I don't know how they handle in snow but for dry and wet pavement the control is much better. The ride is quite good but with a slightly firmer feel. It seems like you have more control and less body roll in the corners. The 2013 Limited wheels are premium wheels and if they were on my truck when I bought It I sure wouldn't be taking them off. However, I am fortunate someone else did otherwise I wouldn't have gotten such a good deal on E-bay.

Thanks for the info just was concerned the bling may effect handling in snow.
