The 10 6sp has issues. When I had mine it clunked going into forward and reverse. Had the dreaded bump coming to a stop and then starting again. Took it to the dealer 2x. 1st time they reflashed the tranny and said it has a learning curve and to drive it for a week or two. No difference. Took it back again and this time they tell me it doesn't have any trouble and to just drive it till something breaks since it's still under warranty.
Also drivers door speaker would quit and start back up randomly. Passenger seat squeaked. And for the most part the 5.4 was doggy. I would seriously look for a 2011 5.0. Better tranny and motor.

A friend of mine paid $31k for a 2010 Lariat 5.4 4X4 that was loaded up with nav, heated seats, aftermarket wheels, 35" tires (leveled), etc. He bought it from the used dealership I work for and I told him straight up to go to the Ford dealership directly across the highway and buy a new 2013 XLT for that money. Obviously he didn't listen to me haha

Just to toss this in... I paid 15,500 for a 2010 stx with 30k miles.
I could add every aftermarket part to have the equivalent truck for 5-10k. I found a few 2010-2012's, xlt, for around 20k with less than 50k miles.
Maybe trucks are cheaper in Florida. I just can't justify spending over 20k for a vehicle... Unless its for work.
Also please remember, you can usually get $2500 off of asking price, as well as another $1500 for your trade in. You just have to be willing to walk. And cash helps.
We just spent around 3m on a new fleet of t660's at work. that's a little different I guess.
