2014 Tremor Pricing
#16
Well, I don't call a V6 a hot rod. They need to get rid of the ugly side graphics also. I drive a truck to use it as a truck. If I wanted a true hot rod, I'd get a Mustang. The price, if this is correct, is way too high for something that really isn't anything new. It is just a bunch of current production parts slapped together in a different way. At least the Raptor is actually something different and apart from the normal production F150.
My thinking on it is its gonna be quick stock especially with the 4.10 rear end and e locker, then add some livernois custom tunes to it and it'll be a rocket.
My 13 supercrew with 3.55's moves damn good, can only imagine what the single cab version will be like

I view the Tremor as a truck to keep folks interest up in a model year that hasn't really changed from the past few years. Tremor, Special Edition Raptor, plus nicer options on the lower dollar models are really the only changes.
Tremor looks sweet, but its pretty useless for me and most folks that need extended cab trucks.
I can't tell if Coy likes em or not???? Swapping the '13 for one Coy or you keeping it?

I dont really call a v6 a hotrod either but when its pushing as much HP and Torque and fords last sport truck then it should be considered some type of "hot rod"

the new tremor is around 6800 lbs, has 5 more ponies and 20 lbs less torque than the lightning which weighed in at 4600 lbs....also no specialized parts like the lightning has to save on weight and help aerodynamics....
still fails.....
if pigs could fly....haha
BTW....they gotta use 4.10's to get it going

Even though the lightning weighs according to you 2200 lbs less than a tremor and a stock lightning run's around a 13.5 to 13.8 quarter mile. The Ecoboost Screw is running high 14's. So with the 4.10 rear end, locking diff, and a single cab the tremor will be close if not better than the lightning as far as 0-60 and quarter miles times. But that doesnt matter does it? cause its only a v6.

Well thats my plan, tell the wife she needs a new vehicle but we are keeping her van that way she can continue driving it and keep the miles off the tremor , Thats my plan atleast.
I bet if the tremor came with the 5.0 then it would be all good, Wouldnt it?

"Here's what we know so far. The lightweight 126-inch-wheelbase truck will be offered in both two- and four-wheel drive, weighing in right around 5,000 pounds, and no doubt likely will be the preferred choice of all those starved sport truck refugees looking for the best pickup to do a smoky burnout for their buddies" - pickuptrucks.com
Lightning 4 speed.
Tremor 6 speed.

A Boss 302, 5.0 would be great. Though, I think I would prefer a 6.2 for more torque. Even then I don't think it is worth the cost when I can get a much better Raptor for about $1k more than the 4x4 Tremor.
