Now I have 1200 mile on truck, pulled our 16 foot camper ,don.t know the weight ,but pulling same trailer with our 06 5.4 averaged 11-12 mpg. With the ecoboost, our milage was 7 to 7.5. These mile figures were using miles to gallons used, vehicle average miles was about the same. Is there something wrong with this truck or am I stuck with this. What mileage are you getting? Thanks
Wow, I've pulled the Jayco Jay Flight 26BH 29' travel trailer in my signature on many trips with both the 2010 F150 Screw 4WD 5.4L w/3.55 LS axle, and the new 2012 Screw 4WD 5.0L w/3.73 Locking axle, and both trucks on every trip, averaged between 10.5 mpg and 11.0 mpg going 60 - 65 mph.

My 2008 Sport Trac with 4.6L 3 valve V8 and 6 speed transmission averaged around 9.0 mpg pulling my previous Jayco Jay Flight 19BH 22.5' travel trailer that weighed roughly 5000 lbs loaded.

I can't believe your F150 is getting such horrible mileage pulling such a tiny camper. Take it in to the dealer for sure, so they can find the problem.

BTW, both trucks used 87 Octane with 10% Ethanol blend (NW Indiana is required and much of Indiana also ).

Good luck.

I am in same boat with my 13 4x4 screw w/331s eco. Just turned 3500 miles and getting 13.7-15.4 mostly Interstate miles. My 2011 eco w373s averaged 18+mpg for 72000 miles driving same roads.
Its not winter fuel, tire pressure, break in or driving habits. Its the damn Truck!

Don't know if you have been following my other threads but. My problem turned out to be a bad motor. Still ran fine, for 2000 mile just had a loud clatter rattle that the dealer said was normal.Until they were forced to look at it. Anyway new motor (longblock),and a reflash. Not sure which corrected the mileage or both but much better now. 20 +.
