New Truck Fever

Local dealer has the exact truck I Want sitting on the lot....

2013 Fx4 Screw Ecoboost. Sharp truck. And it's loaded. Sticker is $45K though.

Guy is suppose to be calling me back w/ prices on leasing it, just out of curiosity.

The '14s are out. You should be able to buy that truck for $33-35k.

IMO, I'd wait fer the new "Atlas" style trucks that'll be out in a year or so. Not that the truck you're looking at isn't amazing....it definitely is! I just fear you might kick yeseff once you see the first of the all-new trucks on the lots in a year or so.

P.S. Go Big Orange!

Wow the sticker on my 5.0 fx4 was 50k+. I didn't pay anywhere near that, but why is sticker price so cheap?

fordman that's exactly what I was thinking... $35K.

Dew, I've seen it and it's sick... but there's no way I'd ever be able to afford one of those their first year out lol...

One2Nine, the sticker actually says $50K, but the "internet price" is listed at $45K. If I Can get it for $35K as noted earlier, I might jump on it. I think I can easily get $8000 for my truck really fast. Wouldnt mind getting a little more but... I think $8000 is a fair price for an '03 Fx4 Lariat w/ 142K miles on it. It's in great shape, pretty clean, and has brand new tires.

And if the price is right, that $8000 will make my payments for at least the first year & a half, if not more.

Hope you the best getting $8K for your truck, in my area with that high of mileage you might get half that, especially on trade.

That's the good thing about the south. A truck like this will go fast at that price.

I am certain they can scribble out a great deal. Any time of year, too. But you won't regret it! Gosh these trucks are beautiful! My only regret is not getting one sooner!

I'm tempted to drive up to Alabama and buy your truck from you. That thing is beautiful.

Thanks!!

He wasn't willing to drop the price. $45k was "the best I can do" and "here's the invoice see we have $46k in it"

I told him to call me when he could drop it into the 30's or when the 2014's came in & he needed to make room & wanted to make a deal. There's a LOT of 2013 trucks left on the lot. 100 trucks easy. They'll have to move them someway.

I think I saw a tv ad recently from the local Ford Dealer offering 25% discounts on 2013 F150s.
Evaluate the value of leasing versus purchasing.

I just got a 2013 FX4. Sticker was $48 and I got it for $32,100. Dealer only offered $6500 for my trade (2004 F150 Fx4 Scab w/ 94,000 miles). Sold it on my own for $9000. You can do better, just don't be afraid to walk away, or fight for it.
