How many miles on EB?

My "Old Dog" is all paid for with title in hand with only 43K on the Odo. That my friend will crush any Eco-Boost in my book! Gee maybe I should trade her in on a Eco? Not! Lol

My Ecobeast is all paid for with title in hand also with only 15k on the odometer. Guess my ecoboost wins again.

I would not say your Eco has won anything. There are way more tried & true 5.4s on the road with 100-300k proven miles than your relatively new 6 banger. My 5.4 tows my loaded 12x6 trailer with ease.

The 3Vs suck compared to the 2Vs when longevity is concerned, I don't think anyone can really argue differently. The average 3V does not last as long. They're still good, but not as good. It didn't deter me from buying one, obviously, and I have no plans to get rid of mine, but I think they're the worst (again, not necessarily bad overall or compared to other makes) truck engine Ford has made in recent years. 5.0s and EBs wipe the floor with them performance wise, and the 2Vs easily outlast them. They can last when taken care of properly, and are still good engines, but the least good compared to their predecessors and successors.
Can I brag that my parents have paid cash for all of their brand new vehicles, with 0 miles, for the last 25 years? Those aren't even my own vehicles, but we'll just keep talking about things that don't matter

Same here! It's cheaper in the long run anyway, that's why they do it. And it's why I plan on doing the same as soon as I'm financially able. For me, if I don't have the money for it right now, I don't need it. Easier to stay out of trouble, unlike all the stupid (<25) youngsters like me

I'm saying that the EBs and 5.0s are already better than the 5.4s because they have comparable reliability, but much more power. And again, I won't include the outliers with 400k miles on a motor. I'm talking averages with everything. 5.4 has decent reliability and feels like a 3 legged dawg, especially for what it puts out at the crank.

48k miles and no problems proves absolutely nothing. That's super low mileage. The Ecos are starting to get up there. There are folks that use about 10 of them (ecos) to run around doing their oil drilling inspection and problem-assistance business. They put 150k+ on em and then sell them and come and get more from us.
