Would you buy an amber gold f150 for 6k less than a normal color?

I say buy the truck you really want, not the one that is the seemingly best deal. I made this mistake before. Even though I liked the truck in my driveway I really wanted the one still at the dealership. Eventually I traded and picked up what I wanted and was happy as a clam for it.
If you like this color and truck go for it and be happy. If you have second thoughts skip it and get a different one. I suspect the mileage on this one is what is really hurting the price more than the color.
EDIT: I priced the truck on NADA and the mileage drags the value down by $3400, color is not taken into consideration there. Their value was $17k -$22k.

ptm the bumpers, door handles, find an fx4 grill, a level lift and some black wheels I think that would be a dang good looking truck!
a lot cheaper than a total repaint, the chrome does not compliment that color!
similar to this fx4 but a set of black wheels

When I buy a used vehicle color usually doesn't even come into play. I look for low miles, what kind of shape it is in and price. If it is pea green but has low miles and the guy that owed it really took care of it added to the fact that I can get a good deal on it, I am interested. If I had my choice it would be white but really worry about the quality first and not the color.

Seems like a big difference to be contemplating between a 3/4 year old truck with over 100k miles and a brand new 2014 with no miles, warranty, and expensive. I actually like the color of that used f150, the miles are what hold me back, but at that price, considerable. But if you don't like the color of the exterior and interior, you will regret it each time you look at it and driver it.

I agree with most here; if you like the color, then get it. Make sure the CarFax is clean but if so then sounds like a great deal.
I don't think the color is that bad myself, and I can see having fun modding it. I agree with grizzstang as I think that particular color kind of clashes with the chrome unlike white or black that totally compliments chrome. Swap out the grille for a PTM surround and flat black inserts, PTM bumpers, OEM styled black fender flares, black tonneau cover, black sidesteps, level it and black wheels with more aggressive tires and then I think the color would pop.

This is actually a cool discussion. It would be interesting if Ford knows the statistical 'value' of each paint color.
All things equal, in my mind paint color is only worth about $1500. If a dealer showed me two identical trucks, one in my desired color, and one in any other color, and offered to hand me $1500 in cash if I chose the other color, the deal would be done. But I'm not that materialistic, I prefer functionality over looks.
