Installed backup camera on 2014 f150 with 4.2 screen
Hi all,
I just installed a backup camera on my 2014 F150 XLT. The truck has a 4.2 non-touch screen which I wanted to use instead of replacing the rearview mirror. I replaced the Ford emblem and found a kit from Nav-TV. Here is the link https://www.navtv.com/products/NTV-K...4-uni-cam.html
Installing the backup camera was the easy part, wiring was a little difficult just because of routing the wire from the back to the front of the truck and through the firewall. There is a nipple on the firewall that made it easier, once I found it.
Connecting the uni-cam to the screen was easy. Have to be careful when removing the screen connector from the truck. I found that the only wires that i needed on the uni-cam was the for the red wire from the camera. The truck already could tell the truck was in reverse.
I hope that helps someone not spend hours like i did.

Adding a backup camera
I have a 2014 F150 with the 4.2" Sync screen and recently a friend of mine also bought a 2014 F150 and his has the backup camera and it displays on his 4.2" Sync screen (non touch version).
I was wondering if anyone knew if I could just purchase the factory rear emblem/backup camera and if it would be plug and play simple to install and get it to work on my 4.2" screen?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Did you use oem parts or after market parts? If so, can you give us part #'s? And links to where you got them? Thanks!
