2011 Fuel Injection Problem

I have a 12K on my 2011 Screw and it is throwing a #6 cylinder misfire code. This truck does not get driven much so I'm sure the fuel has veneered the injector, so I'll probably replace them all.

Have any of you changed an injector on the new 5.0? I just changed the entire fuel delivery system in my 97 Yukon, and it was involved but not that bad. This looks WAY easier, but I want to know about any "gotchas".

It would be great if you could point me to a write up on it. I searched the forum and am not turning up anything that helps, or I am missing it. I would really appreciate any info that you would have. I guess if there isn't one already, I'll document this and post one myself later.

Thanks.

Mach

Don't recall anyone posting about injector problems on a 2011 up.

If the injector was clogged you should also be setting a lean code for that bank. I doubt that is your only problem. Throwing some good fuel system cleaner through the tank wouldn't hurt anything though. You're still under factory warranty, let the dealer fool with it.

Would check the spark plug (or coil) before the injector.

Yeah you should be under warranty if you are below 60,000 miles. Let the dealer fix it.

I forget that this has the 5-60 on it. Great idea. Thanks!
