I just herd back from Therese's moronic supervisor. About six hours after the call back deadline and after I posted her failure to call on another forum.

She says that I should take my truck to the dealer so that they can try to duplicate the issue. She was even one dealer behind the times. Has common sense totally left North America? It has already been to three different dealers.

I said that I wanted to speak with her supervisor at Fords. She said that she did not have a supervisor at Fords. After batting that back and forth for a few minutes, she said that she is empowered by Fords to deal with their customers. In other words, I was dealing with a call centre, not part of Ford, who can talk nice to customers and dealers, but who are otherwise useless. I made it clear that I had already gone her route, but she was not smart enough to grasp that. If she could read, she should have known that. I gave her my final two words and hung up. The call was being recorded, so hopefully Fords gets to play it back so that they can see what their customers have to deal with.

Nick, do you actually work in Michigan like your heading suggests?

Hey Green Gem,

Half of our team is located in Michigan and the other half is in Florida. I'm one of the lucky ones that get to experience the endless summer of Florida. Please continue working with Brittany on this moving forward, as she's your best point of contact.

Nick,

It is impossible to continue working with someone when they stop responding.

Where is Brittany located?

Mine is sub pat as well. Just barely "cool " enough to be comfortable. Just enough to not sweat. It feels 10x better at 80 than it does at 100. This isn't my first vehicle or my first summer in Texas, but this is by far the most disappointing AC I've owned.

Need to stick a thermo in it and check the refrigerant levels....

Mine is awful too. I've just kinda been dealing with it because I love the rest of the truck so much.

Must just be the new ones. My 2011 is good. 101 outside this afternoon and we had to cut the dial back in a Supercrew.

When I had my 2011 supercrew, I don't recall it being bad. So of I didn't notice it I suppose it was fine. I figured my '13 would be even better because it has less cab to cool. Not the case.

I'm sorry that you are going through this too. We all need to flood Ford with our complaints. Bypass the dealers and go to the source of the problem.

JohnBoy88,

I'm sorry to here that. I'm certain that the Presidents/CEOs of Ford Canada and Ford USA would not put up with this problem in their vehicles. It is time to challenge this issue beyond the dealerships.

Bluejay,

I'm glad that yours works well. Do you know what your vent temperatures are?

There are 2011's with this issue too.

My 2000 Camry DD (sold) would freeze your *** out on start ups
My 2003 F150 with electric fans will get down to 40 in 100* heat

Okay, here are some vent temperatures from yesterday morning. It was a cloudy/overcast day that did not even require the use of A/C, but I tried it anyway. It fit right in with what I have been telling Ford about it doing a good job on days that it is not needed.

I did time the up and down cycles today and each way, they were between 6 and 7 seconds.

The first reading was taken after giving the A/C time to reach its low level. The outside temperature was 68F.

The low reading was 40.7 and the upper reading was 43.3. These readings were taken at highway speeds with the A/C on recirculate.

The second reading was taken about 2.5 hours later after giving the A/C time to reach its low level. The outside temperature was now 72F.

The low reading was 40.6 and the upper reading was 44.0. These readings were taken at highway speeds with the A/C set to max.

Patman,

Thanks for posting your vent temperatures. I would consider those to be sub-par as well.

With outside temperatures of 97 and 100 degrees F, it must take at least 30 minutes to get your truck to a tolerable inside temperature with your best vent temperature. Like my truck, the A/C is of no value for short trips.

Hopefully this post will help to get Ford's attention so that we can get our trucks repaired.

Take Care

If you get bored, here is a video I did last year. Using just A/C (non-max A/C) is absolutely worthless. Sorry for all the random talking in the video. Skip ahead to 5:10 just to see just my truck. There is also a 1997 F-250 and a 2009 Mustang Bullitt in the video as a comparison.
