Rough idle

Hey guys I have a 2014 Ford F-150 Xlt 5.0L 4x4 when stopped at a red light the motor has a very rough idle. I feel it really bad on the driver side and the passengers say they feel it slightly. I have taken it to the dealer and was told that it was a normal characteristic for the drive train. It seems the vibrations are getting worse. Has anyone encountered this problem on their Ford?

Will it go away if you rev up to 2000 rpm or so?

After a little research seems like there are alot of complaints on the mustang side for rough idle on the 5.0.. Not seeing much on the truck side.

Good Luck!

I still have this issue but it seems the vibration is getting a little stronger. Sometimes it gets so strong it rattles my radar detector. The vibration is a little less when not in gear. I checked the spark plugs and they are gap required by ford. When I rev up to 1500 rpm it gets a little stronger then it goes away. I've taken it to the dealer 3 times and I always get the same answer "it's normal characteristics of this trucks". One of the guys at the ford dealership told me that if there isn't a code there isn't nothing they could do. I was even in contact with ford corporate but only sent me back to the same dealership with no solution. I bought the truck brand new with only 5 miles it. The truck started to do it when it hit 250 miles, now with 20,000 miles I thinking of getting rid of it. It's embarrassing when someone jumps in my truck and says damn a brand new truck and it vibrates, what a waste of money. I love My ford truck but can't stand the vibration.
Thank you your help is greatly appreciated

Mine does something similar but usually after it has sat all weekend. Since it can be rather humid around her I attribute the rough idle to a wet air/fuel mixture as it goes away after the engine builds heat. I'm not sure if it is a sensor in the MAF system or not. It usually happens right after I back out of my driveway and idle down the street at 25 mph. It kind of surges which could be different than what you are experiencing. (2012 107K on my 5.0)

Send a PM to "FordService" and see if she can help with the dealer.

Just changed the plugs in my 5.0 @ 110,000 miles.

Who's bright idea is the chincy little plug/cap wiring retainer thingies? Way to over complicate something and make it delicate...
