My last post said I got an estimate to repair it. It has actually been inspected twice by the dealer for rust and warranty coverage. Also, the ESP's that I read about specifically states that it does not cover rust at all.

What was the day in which the first owner bought the truck.

I read the whole thread bud, It says that the warranty started on September 9, is that the day the truck was purchased?

September 9th is the date Ford lists as the "in service" date so I assume that is the date it was first sold.

I wouldn't assume anything. We all know dealerships want to ,ale money not loose it.

FYI: I purchased a 2007 F150 back in June 2014 with 78k on it. Hood, roof and interior rear bed wheel wells were flaking and bubbling paint off. They did REPAINT PART OF THE HOOD AND DID A **** JOB BLENDING IT, probably a shawdy paint place. Point is my truck was 7yrs past paint warranty or wasn't even subject to the warranty because I think it started in 2010 if I'm not mistaken. I really hope it works out for you. Fight the good fight and make them honor this defect. It still happens today. There are imperfections with my paint but I'm not worried about it quite yet.

In this instance its not the dealer. They are being very helpful and nice. This is entirely on Ford and their Customer Service Dept.
