Need your opinion, New to ford!
Hey everyone,
I currently have a 2010 Nissan Xterra but I am ready to pull the trigger on a 2014 Ford FX4, 5.0 Luxury package, and loaded.
I have been stalking his truck for a while, it has 22,000 miles and is for sale for 34,400. What do you guys think about the price?
Also, I am very new to ford's and the engines. I have heard about some bugs with the 3.5 ecoboost and have decided to stay away from it as I won't be towing anything anytime soon.
Are there any know issues to the 5.0 or advice on the truck in general that I should check out before I buy? I am very good with cars, I perform my own maintenance, and run my own mobile mechanic business so I really just want to know if there is any recalls or specific things to look for.
I am about to drive 6 hours tomorrow to see this car and buy it so please let me know your thoughts!

2014 HD F150. 25xxx miles and runs strong. No major issues here. Ford did a phenomenal job building the 5.0, damn motor is almost bulkier proof. They got 700hp out of factory bottom end on a mustang. Pretty sure your safe with that low mileage truck.

Some of the early ones back in 2011 had a piston slap issue, but that has been solved. Also if you plan on any serious mods to bump up the power like around 800+ hp at the crank, consider a billet oil pump. The factory oil pump uses powdered metal gears just like the factory connecting rods and the stock pump has been known to fail under high hp boosted applications.
