2010 XLT wrong wheels?

I have a 2010 XLT Crew Cab. Ever since I got the truck it's had a TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR FAULT. It's just come home from the Ford dealer for a different thing. All wheels are sending a signal. But they techs couldn't figure out why the module wasn't receiving the signal. Then the manager saw the truck and it seems I have 2015-16 wheels on the truck. The TPS units aren't compatible with a 2010 module.
Does anyone agree with Ford that I have later wheels?

I guess I can just put earlier TPS units on the wheels?

Yes, they are correct. Those are wheels from the 2015+ Sport model (I believe) trucks. From what I have read the 2015 sensors are not compatible with the older trucks so you will need to replace the senors to get the light to go out.

if it came from the dealership that way THEY are responsible for fixing said issue. it is against the law for any dealership to sell you a vehicle with maintenance or safety recalls not completed and up to date.

How the hell is TPMS sensors not matching a maintenance or safety recall?
