Do your brake lights work? If not, that has to be fixed. Fuse or bad brake light switch.

Brake shift interlock bypass is described starting on page 281 in your owner's manual:

http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo.../09f12og3e.pdf

Fuses are on pages 314-322, the BSI is F5 in the inside fuse box. Brake light switch fuse is F46 and F76 in the underhood box.

Ok, I found the little switch to get it into neutral-Brake lights do not work, running lights on-under the hood pulled the (2) f46 and f76 fuses.
they looked fine put them back in still the same- going to replace the fuses tomorrow? Any further thoughts. Thanks

If the brake lights do not work and the fuses are okay, your brake light switch on the pedal is bad. That's what's keeping it locked in Park.

Check all 3 fuses with a multimeter, you can't just look at them.

checked those 3 fuses, all checked out, bought a new brake light switch at napa, no change. I took it in, they checked it on a meter, was no different from the new one, so returned that item, then dropped the truck off at a mechanic.

wont come out of park

So. A mechanic figured it out. A wire that goes over the firewall had caused a short in the system, took them awhile to figure it out.
