Easiest way to change over to a better Battery Terminal

Hi. I have a 2011 Ecoboost that I want to redo the battery terminal. I have already replaced it once by buying just the terminal piece they sell for the Edge and it has already corroded and failing. I finally got rid of the motorcraft battery and put in a new battery. I'm trying to find a "How To" and parts list to convert to the type of terminal in the picture. The main cable that is built into the stock terminal that comes up from the bottom will be too short and need to be extended. Has anyone done a similar clean conversion? If so, what is the best way to do it and parts needed? Pictures would be great!

Thanks

I recommend a heavy duty butt connector. However, you'll need a hydraulic crimper to crimp it. Then put heavy duty shrink wrap on it.

I do this at work for UPS systems. I have a hydraulic crimper though, and those can get expensive.
