Skid Plates / CAT theft

Skid Plates / CAT theft
Does anyone know of any skid plates for a 2012 that will cover or heavily obscure the CATs? There has been a heavy uptick in theft of CATs in the area around my office recently, and mine were stolen on Monday. I was hoping to find a skid plate (or similar) that would block a thief from getting a reciprocating saw to them to cut them off.
2012, 4x4 supercrew with the 5.0 if it makes a difference.
Thanks,

Without using some heavy gauge steel, your typical skid plate isn't going to do much.
I can tell you, my 20v DeWalt cordless sawzall with the right blade can make quick work of something like a skid plate let alone a CAT. It might hinder them 30-60 seconds longer if that, and potentially make them more upset and do even more damage (hack wiring, etc).
It's funny, way back when I was in high school (mid 2000's), I think it was Bosch that was competing with DeWalt's 36v line with their own 36v line. They cut an entire mid-size sedan in half with 2 batteries and a few blades. It took a guy like ~30 minutes to do it or less. And that's an entire car! --- Sawzall blades weren't even made to the quality as they are now. They had the demo at a local Home Depot. It was neat to watch.
Where I'm going with this -- Just let it happen and have the insurance take care of it. That's why you pay for insurance.
Also, see about adding a camera or two to your vehicle. See if they come back again or what not. You'd be surprised. You'd be doing a help to your local PD to help catch those evil thugs!

The guy dropped his wallet under the truck and the local PD is still hasnt looked into it a week later. I would just let insurance take care of it but at $500 plus every time for my deductable, and the potential for increasing premiums, I would like to try to be proactive.
I figured it wouldnt be enought to stop them if they really wanted it, but I was hoping if it would make it take long enough that they would move to a quicker target.
