HiFonics Zues?
Any one here running a Hifonics Zues amp, or know anything about them? I want a four channel amp to push a sub and a pair of components eventually. I saw a Hifonics Zues amp that is 55Wx4 at 4 ohms, and 220wX2 at 4 ohms bridged. It is for under $200, looks like quite the deal, but I have never heard anything being pushed by a Hifonics amp.
Any input guys?

Don't have personal experience with HiFonics but from what I understand.. the Zeus series is great quality. You should be safe with them.
Every refurb. product I have bought has worked without a problem. My bro had a refurb cd changer that worked for him for like 4 or 5 years. My head unit is a refurb and its worked without a single problem for probably 6 months now.

I currently have a Hifonics Z8000 5 channel. 50x4 and 200x1. I bought it brand new from a dealer on ebay for $177. It's the 3rd Hifonics amp I've had, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. IMHO you would be hard pressed to find more quality for the money. In my '97 ext. cab, it's a perfect fit under the driver's side of the rear seat and it runs my whole system. I have an mtx thunderform, vifa mids, peerless tweeters, a/d/s crossovers, and quality cables and wiring. It sounds fantastic.

neck, I bought mine from doctordenten. I just checked and he has no items for sale at this time. Did a search on car audio and electronics for Hifonics and there are several amps for sale, including a few multi-channel that will suit your purpose. Maxxsonics, which makes the Hifonics brand, also makes Crunch amps. They are great bang for the buck amps, also. It all depends on what you are wanting from your system. Hooked up to reasonable quality speakers, either will make a decent system. Hifonics is famous for good, clean, low distortion output, and pretty straightforward wattage ratings. They must be doing something right, they've been around 20 years. Probably the best amp I've ever had in over 30 years of fooling with audio, is a Linear Power. They've been in business since 1975 and if you don't have a dealer in your area, you can buy direct from them at 40% off retail. We're talking high end now. I don't know what you want to spend, but you can check them out at http://www.linearpower.com. If I was building a bullet proof, competition quality system, that's what I would buy. Good luck!
