Getting the install done tomorrow.....Any reccomendations for amp placement? I have seen the amps behind the back seat, but am wondering about heat issues and airflow. Anyone have any ideas. 2 amps, multichannel, pretty sizeable, and there wont be much room under the seats with the sub-box there. Thanks in advance..

 

i have my amp for my components, and rear speakers behind the deck in the dash- its an Alpine 4chan. MRV F345 whats about 14x12x2.5. havent put in my subs yet, so unsure of that amp placement yet- hope it helps

I had no idea there was that much room back there!? Thats the exact amp I will be using for my components and rears as well. Any details you could give me on the mounting specs would be great.

 

hey, i'll get in contact with the install guys that did mine and i'll get back to you on the exact specs. the just said that when they took the factory 6 out, there was a wealth of space to be had back there. I personally didnt see the space but they said it just slid right back there- im not sure of the mounting... i drive on dirt roads with potholes ruts and washboards, and its dead quiet inside, so im guessing its not just laid in there. maybe engine firewall? they only took off that center trim piece (carbon-fiber looking one)-

 

Install is done, and I'll have pics soon. Ended up placing both amps in the cab. 1 under passenger seat, the other in old jack location. Now, who has the best jack relocation thread?
