Need a Sub Amp

I know there is a ton of posts about "what kinda amp should i get?"

I have a Polk MOMO 10" SVC 4ohm sub, RMS 300w, Peak 600w.

I remember like 8-10 yrs ago it seemed like fosgate amps were AWSOME, that still true?

I'm also lookin into building my own box but ill post on that in the subs forum.

im wantin to stay in the under $200 range if possible(lookin for closeout deals or somethin)

Awesome is a whole different beast now. I would say they are still descent amps but not what I would look at if i was wanting that awesome rating. I've heard good things about hifonics amps and they are quite affordable at onlinecarstereo.com or woofersect.com or sonixelectronics.com

Well, im not goin for an AWSOME amp now, i just want somethin that will give me good clean power and be reliable. im not lookin to win, or even get into any competitions, but i also dont want it to be my weak link in the chain.

ive got an alpine head unit and all 4 door speakers are BAs.

Rockford went through a little growing pain a while back when getting into the big box market. Some of it was because of the confusing model numbers and some was cause they were trying to keep up with the new demand. That is all past and the newest power series amps are killer. Many amp companies have tried to dominate and/or be the be all end all type amp, most have fallen to the death of dei and others disappeared, few have kept up with the pace of rockford in the long haul.
