I Dont Get It!

I dont get it! All this ohms, bridging, channels. I want two 10" subs and an amp..that will give me a lot of bass. And they need to fit in the dual sub box from supercrewsound.com. I got $400. Two subs and a amp. Suggestions..

• Air Space = .75 cubic foot per sub
• Mounting Depth = 5.50 inches
• Box divider with two speaker terminals
• Jack may need to be removed
• Hole cutout for 8" Sub = 7"
• Hole cutout for 10" Sub = 9 1/8"
• Hole cutout for 12" Sub = 11"

ok here ya go...get 2 JL Audio 10w1 subs, the new grey ones. they will be plenty shallow and their airspace needs fall within the amounts you spec'd out for the box you have. For an amp, get a JBL CS300.1, its a basic 300w @ 2 ohm sub amp that will match the rms power requirements for those subs at 150w per sub. Make sure you get the 4ohm model of sub, b/c those two subs are going to be bridged together on the amp to bring the total impedance down to 2 ohms letting the amp put out 300w @ 2 ohms rms, 460w @ 2ohms peak... the subs you can get for as little as $99 per sub but can go as high as $119 per sub... the amp will run anywhere from $150-189 new...

I hear you about the hole ohm thing, just diffrent ways to wire up your sub and how much power your able to get out of your amp, o Jl makes great subs only heard the w3, w6, and w7, the w7 with the right air space is alsome just make sure what ever sub you get u have the right dept

i think b/c of depth restrictions the only JL sub that will work for you is going to be the JL w1 series 8s or 10s, or possibly a 12 but thats pushing it

Check out the new Kicker CVT's.... they have a mounting depth of 4 3/16s i think.... 400 watts RMS and 800 max!! I got a pair off ebay for bout $180

I custom made my box tho... I would rather not pay all that money for one when I can make it with $3 worth of screws and a $25 sheet of mdf....

they will hold up but i would definitely look into replacing them soon. and putting an amp on them would make them balance alot better with the subs your adding, as of now, with stock speakers running off the headunit they will have a hard time trying to keep from being drowned out by the bass
