You can wrap the wire around the terminals but rings terminals are neater.

Use forks, not ring terminals.

I know from experience, use forks. I was that "I don't have crimpers that big" guy, and just put the wire in there bare. And a buddy of mine pulled it out while the system was playing by accident, and blew the amp.

Both are fine. Correct size is important though.

correct, but forks are easier. With rings you have to take the screw completely out of the amp to remove your wire, and one of those little buggers always seems to find its way under a floor mat or something.

Use the rings. Sure it takes more time to pull the screw all the way out, but then again once its in there it cannot get pulled out like a fork.

i got rings because they didnt have any of the fork ones.
more questions-
1. im kinda confused on running the ground cable. i will probably do it to the seat bolt. can i just put it ontop the seat bracket before i put the bolt back in?
2. the ring terminals that came with the wiring kit i got dont exactly fit the amp. the one on the power cable will go on the screw but when i try to put it back onto the amp its to wide for the part where the screw goes. can i just trim a little of the connector off?
and on the ground cable the hold isnt big enough for the screw can i just drill it out and make it bigger?

sorry if that doesnt make sense i can try and explain it better if you need me to

The ring terminals on the amp kit are for the end opposite the amp. So the ring terminal on the power wire is meant for the battery and the one on the ground is meant for where you ground the amp.

so your saying dont use connectors? i looked at the diagram the wiring kit came with and yall are right the ring connectors are for the other side of the wire but it came with spade connectors to connect to the amp, but the opening isnt big enough for the screw on the connector on the amp.

what kind of amp? is it a phillips screw with a square washer on the amp terminals? if you are having trouble with the connectors it is ok to not use them at the amp. Just properly secure the wires.
