At least they took their ugly logo off the front and stuck a FORD logo in its place.

And what was your total cost for everything, said and done?

- NCSU
$6.99 for the red paint, $4.99 for heat temp clear, and $9.99 for the degreaser.

$22 bucks better spent than $180 on some caliper covers

Do you have to use VHT Caliper Paint? Or can you use another brand? I want to paint mine white.

What does it say on the cann? Can it be any kind of dupi color paint? Or it has to be paint caliper specific?

The only difference with Caliper dedicated paint is the better paint withstanding temperature. Its best to use caliper specific paint, mine still look fantastic after a winter and alot of mud.

best to use caliper paint it stands up to the heat better and it resist the brake dust and the really huge one is it stands up well to brake fluid. thats one thing reg. paint dont do so well.

I did this on a Mustang I had and it looked great...........until a couple heat cycles then the bright red faded pretty bad. Looks great on your truck and I hope the red stays red for ya.

It depends on what your wheels look like. With my 20" matte black wheels, and the other darker accessories on my truck, I felt the bright red would work well and stand out some, which it did and it does not look bad at all to me. I debated trying to PTM them but I think it would have been a lot of work for a un-noticeable change.
