If you want to play with FRP, go to Home Depot or Lowes, they carry sheets of it, usually in white. It's pretty tough.

Again, the Encore looks to me like it's the Extang Solid Fold except for the FRP. The Solid Fold has been out for a few years.

It does resemble the Solid Fold. Its much lower profile though.

I agree, it does look thinner, and that will be a improvement.

There's a product video up on the Extang website now. No pricing or installation details, but at first glance the Encore appears to be more like the Bakflips than the Solid Fold. There seems to be a clamp on rail system extending into the bed that the tonneau fits into (with hooks), and a wire release system as opposed to spring clamps. Seems pretty cool though. Looking forward to seeing one in person!

We have pictures of one install on a GMC Sierra 5.8ft. We have many picture of the encore cover. As of right now Extang is only releasing 10 part # and everything is built to order. Meaning that there is 7-10 building out process in the cover and then it will ship. Cost on the cover is $889.00. If anyone would like pictures please email Joe or Mike at Jamzauto@gmail.com
