Power Washing?

Power Washing?
I was wondering if anyone has ever used a powerwasher to wash their vehicle. I just bought a 1650psi electric one that was for "automotive use" and some zep car wash concentrate to put in it. I was worried that it will damage the paint so i test it on another vehicle (didn't want to put it to the 2003 HD yet) with the spray set at its widest and on a lower pressure. It really did a nice job and had no apparent problems w/ the paint ( theres not that much pressure u can put your hand up to about 5 inches from the nozzle).
Anyone know anything about powerwashing and if its good or bad for the paint or car. Thanks

My dad owns a trucking company and has a power washer with a burner and that baby will clean wheels and tires like nobodys business. It will also clean the truck spic and span. I try to make sure that I never let it spray one spot for too long for fear that it might dig in and chip something away. I love it.

I have a little rolling Campbell Hausfeld that I got for Christmas a year or two ago. Runs about 1700 psi according to the box and literature anyway. It really cleans the truck up very nicely. This particular model cuts off the pump when you let off the trigger. Great for after a buff, blasting all the compound out of the cracks. And for washing the engine down. Puts a lawn hose to shame.
Nothing to worry about, unless you have an old, or badly done aftermarket paint job.,,,,98
