Bugs Bugs Bugs

Anybody have suggestions on how to keep bugs from hitting the front of the truck?

No, seriously, any suggestions on bug removal?

I want to try and prevent the bugs from leaving permanent marks on the front end..

any good suggestions...

I'm looking for both suggestions that might help "protect" the finish on the front, as well as anything that might aid in removing the little bas&%*ds.

Thanks
Dan

Frequent washing and a great coat of high protection wax.

I am still hoping that we get about 2 or 3 days of DEEP FREEZE so all the *BEEPING* bugs will die!

In turn, all the birds eating the bugs might die too and thus eliminate the $het problem. LOL!

Two 'birds/bugs' with one stone!

ZAINO, will make it MUCH easier to get bugs off. They barely stick to the polish, bird crap etc, very very easy to get off if you ZAINO your truck.

Like RockPick states a good high quality polish/wax, and ZAINO being the best, makes a world of difference...

I used Zaino on my wife's car and I have been washing it as well. It's gets a lot of tar and oil from new roads. She's a real estate agent and drives on these new roads all the time. The tar, oil, AND bugs come off very easily. It is amazing how little stuff sticks to Zaino.

A good thick coating of Pro's Bug Guard.

I put that on my truck for the drive to the F150 Meet. Still got it on my truck and it is baking in the sun right now. Probably won't be able to wash it until Tuesday afternoon

Hey All™,
If there is something I'm good at, is the detailing part of owning a truck. For getting them off, and starting new, I'd suggest a new cleaner by Simple Green. It's a line of products specifically for cleanning auos. You spray it on, and it says to use a soft cloth, but if they're not like, dried on for days bugs, it will more of less desolve them after a few seconds. Once you have it all cleaned, and ready for something to put on there to keep them from sticking again, I'd suggest Black Magic for the lower part underneath the bumper. As for the painted part of your front end, I use a wax called Duragloss PC(#101 www.Duragloss.com), because it will also desolve just about anything on paint, without hurting your paint(Bugs, tar, sap). Anything else on detailing, let me know.

Intel,

This stuff sounds too good to be true... When you spray it on, it dries clear, leaving a layer to help protect the finish?

I checked out the prowax site. The stuff sounds good, and it's cheap.. sounds like something I could easily apply to the nose, and behind wheels.

Can you tell that it's on at all? I want to retain that black gloss that I currently am proud of/enjoying.

Thanks
Dan
