opinions on microfiber

Hey guys,

I'm looking for opinions on microfiber... you know good ol' MF

I have looked at a couple sites that Intel had recommended, but still am undecided...

Intel.. do you have a preference between Yosteve and pakshak and JT international?

Does anyone else have other MF towels that you consider top notch.

I had been eyeing a number of items on ProperAutoCare site, including that "BigBlue"...

Any thoughts?
Dan

Last time I checked the MF on properautocare.com are overpriced.

I like the YoSteve.com towels for cleaning windows as I notice no/hardly any lint on the windows after cleaning them.

The pakshak and JT intern are almost the same in quality. I'd check out JT if you want to stock up on quality MF without a premium cost.

I bought some Micro Fiber Towels from Wal-Mart and they worked awesome. I detailed a 03 Navigator this weekend, and I buffed off all the wax with one side the towel. I then waxed my truck and used the otherside. It was nice not use 3 towels on 1 truck.

I have a bunch of NeatItem MF towels. They are very nice towels. However, I'm inclined to give some of those JT International towels a try, as I've heard nothing but good things about them. Still, I find that MF's aren't the best tool for every detailing situation, and my Cannon Charisma Select towels still get top billing!

I ordered one of the combo specials from pakshak and mentioned that I had found his site through some of Intel's post here (and at another msg board). He was honest enough to tell me about a special deal for members of the other msg board AFTER I had already paid for my order. I wound up with 3 extra towels (2 small, 1 big) for the same price. That kind of honesty and attitude toward the customer is the reason I'll keep buying from him.

As far as the towels go? I didn't know what I was missing! They are great for drying after a wash, taking off polish, quick detailer, wiping the dash (with just a little spray of water on the cloth) and cleaning the windows (same way). The only thing I don't really like them for is taking off wax.

I picked up some towels from JT International... Tom was great, kept in touch, and mailed everything out right away... (Thanks Intel)...

I found an old thread re: care of microfiber towels... (re: washing (without fabric softener/bleach), and letting air dry...

Would you recommend washing before use?

How often do you wash the towels (say for your own vehicles).. do you wash after each time you use, or dry em' out and use em' again?

Thanks
Dan

I'd wash mine before use just to help get any lint out.

I wash them after every use if I use them to remove products from the paint such as wax or polish. I will usually reuse the ones I use on windows.

I agree with Intel. Wash before use to remove any lint and color bleeding if you have dark ones. Wash after they get fileld up with wax or polish.

I had a good experience with Tom @ JTi as well.

I definately don't use fabric softener on mine. I found that it makes them have a tendancy to 'smear' slightly.

Where can one locate YoSteve, JT International and pakshak?

I seem to see the most positive comments about JT International's products.

Who has the best prices? I want to order a slew of these things and some of the fancy ones for windows too. I'd also like some big ones for drying.

I'd also like to order online, cause I am very anti-social on the phone.

I don't want much, eh?

pw1981,

You can reach JT International at jtintern@hotmail.com

www.pakshak.com

www.yosteve.com

Thanks to Intel and others for my connection to these sites on previous posts.

JT International doesn't have a website, but if you email, he'll send you a price list (and he does have many items available on ebay)...

I'm happy with what I got from JT International thus far... great price, and superfast shipping.

Pakshak might give a good deal. Email him and tell him you got his url from Intel486.
