Post Platinum vs. Zaino, my Review

Hey all, I recently bought some Z for myself and a Sample Platinum kit from www.tacscar.com My review as follows below:

Zaino:

Pros: Application, removing, time to dry with ZFX, shine, looks like the truck has water flowing over it all the time.

Cons: Dust, but not as much after Z6 was applied, smell, doesn't have that "deep pool" look to it

Platinum:

Pros: Easy to use, just as easy as Z. "Deep Pool" look to it, like Z, alittle goes a long way, doesn't stain trim

Cons - smells like Playdoh, doesn;t do much for chrome like Z did,

Before all this, I dawned and clayed my Ranger, and the hood was the guinea pig, and split the hood up in 1/2. Both products are indeed Top of the Line and wouldn't hesitate to use either or, but my decision for my truck is Platinum,,,,,91

f-150_91,

Yep, both are great products! I too like the UPP because of it's ability to have more of a carnauba look than "Z"........... and an extremely wet look with a minimum number of coats! Like "Z" the Platinum wash, and QD also contain polymers to keep the gloss up, and add to the durability............. I really like the QD!

91,

I wish! The Boss_429 Stang was my favorite vehicle of all time (and the 427 Shelby Cobra). When I was young, I was fortunate to get to drive both of them..................... what awesome vehicles!

f-150_91,

How long did it take you to get your order of Platinum? I placed mine 4 days ago (payment went through on PayPal) and I haven't heard a word from TACSCAR. Their e-mail addy gets bounced back too.

G8RDave,

Not to worry. If Tim at Tascar got your payment, he will take care of you.

I wasn't really concerned until the e-mail bounced (even then I wasn't going to lose any sleep over it). I just tend to get impatient when waiting for a new toy. In fact, I went ahead and placed another order, but directly through Platinum. I figure I'll use it all eventually, right? And I also wanted to get some of the Pre-Cleaner for my comparison to Zaino. Of course if it lasts as long as everyone says, it may take a few years to go through it. Maybe I'll detail the neighbors' cars. It would be a nice, shiney neighborhood!

Boss, you were absolutely right. I just got confirmation that my order from tacscar has been shipped. They said they were having computer problems (something I think we all can relate to). Heck, even if it wasn't actually computer issues, we've all dropped the ball from time to time. Can't wait to try the Platinum.

Yep, Tim will take care of you. There are several Detailing supplies companies that have great customer service, but Tim's is unmatched! If you have a problem, or a question on your order, or just a question on the products, just let him know.............. you'll see what I mean!

Good luck with the UPP........... I think you're going to like it!
