Unhappy keypad peeling

Hey guys,

Was washing the truck this weekend, and noticed that the keypad (driver's door) started peeling on the buttons..

It sort of peeled off like a hardened plastic coating over the button...

I hated to see this happen, cuz' I'm a perfectionist, and do not want those little buttons to wear off... (hate the site of blurred/worn numbers)...

Any suggestions on what I could put back over it, so as to protect is permanently, without damaging the button, my button/lock mechanism, or the finish?

Thanks
Dan

looks like no takers to my post...

I'm wondering if a clear nail acrylic applied gently over each button might do the trick...

to protect the buttons finish, and to especially recover the one that "peeled"

Dan

Any thoughts?

Still inside warranty? Probably not if you're asking here I suppose...

I know the keypad mod is a very popular one and it's well documented out there how to remove the door panels and add it thus, it seems to me that you could use that information and potentially replace the keypad.

I doubt it'd be very expensive. Probably be more of a pain in the **** than anything.

Best of luck and let us know how you attempt to remedy the problem.
