Cleaning up Bed Extenders . . .

Here on the RockPick forum (I know he will be along shortly ) I have seen some questions about how to clean up Bed Extenders.

You can use Bar Keepers Friend to clean up those Ford stock Bed Extenders! You can get it in most grocery stores for a couple of dollars. It is better than BonAmi etc. It works wonders without scratching or changing the appearance. In other words after you use it, it doesn't leave the cleaned area looking different than areas that received no cleaning.

Wax the surface after cleaning it to help it maintain its appearance for an extended time. Your bed extender will look brand new.

My Best,

Can someone post a picture of this stuff? What is it? Liquid?

and another link -

The Bar Keepers Friend site -

The first links are the best ones for pictures. This is the exact product I use for windows and things like the bed extenders. Great stuff.

Guess it would help if I searched using the correct name. LOL! I made it two words rather than three.

Oh Yea . .

It's a power like Ajax or Bon Ami etc., but it works much better and is less abrasive. It happens to be one of those inexpensive simple products that really works well.

And Yes, you should make it part of your arsenal. It is great for water spots on glass, chrome, bed extenders etc. It rinses off pretty easily too. Try it you will like it. Here in Washington state I find it in most any grocery store like Safeway, QFC, and many others.

I'm always making a beer stop at the Safeway there in Yakima off of the interstate (as we stay in the Gateway (now Red Lion) located behind the Safeway)... I'll grab a bottle there and ship it back in our supplies.
