It's a 2000, with 46000 miles. It see's dirt maybe 2 weeks out of the year for deer season. Other than that it's always on pavement and clean. I'm particular that way!

You could try calling the local Ford rep in your area. I don't know much about Ford's chain of control but know they have like an area rep. Maybe some others can chime in here to give you better information on how to find the Ford Rep.

A 2000 and 46,000 miles I would be nagging the hell out of some people until they get tired of you and just break down and repair it. Sometimes that is what it takes a call, few calls a day EVERY day until something is done...

Damn!!! Last time I looked, no crack. Now two weeks later, 1/2 inch crack on the drivers door. Should have kept my mouth shut.

priddyboy:

Ask the gentleman to refer to Service Bulletin 996754, Sequence #845 from August 1999. It is NHTSA #SB608461. You can go to the NHTSA website and get a printout of the text if you want.

He may change his tune if you "enlighten" him a little.

Well, I don't have to worry about that crack on that door anymore or about trying to fix it. The lease company finally came and picked the thing up on Friday. So I never have to see that thing again. Now they will have to get the door crack fixed, not me.
