I've had my 02 F150 for about a year now. I was paying for both trucks since the lease company would not take back the 2000 F150 when I went and brought my new one. I made a mistake and went and brought a new truck with a year left of the lease on the old one. Man, will I never do that again!

With both payments I was paying $930 dollars a month. Mine now is $550 a month and the other one was $380 a month. That is not including a $300 dollar a month insurance that I was also paying. I am still wondering how I have been able to do it.

What kind of long term effects will the non-repaired cracks have? I have a '97 F250 LD. Got it in '01 with 85,000 miles and checked for cracks today and they are on both doors. I have to assume from reading up on this that they've been cracked for quite some time. What happens if I never get them fixed? Will the door split? I live in an extremely dry climate (average less than 20% year round so I'm not super concerned about rust. I could just touch it over to prevent rust.) and I'm not too rough on it. Daily driver (paved roads) and pull a 5th wheel about 8 to 10 times a year.

Is this specifically an SCAB problem or have SCERW owners experienced this as well?

I don't think it matters really, are the doors not the same (front) on all the trucks?
