I get all my Zaino from a local guy who is a dealer of their product. He gave me a bottle of each on my last purchase in July to try. One was the new formulation wax and one the old formula. It has a different color to it and seems like it has more liquid to it making it a little thinner. It worked just as well but seemed to streak a little when removing it(yes I waited till dry). The shine is definitely improved some as a end result though. I always use the accelerator now and had 2 coats on mine as well as my Fathers and they both looked great.
All in all I would say it still proves to be a great wax with both formulas.

To be honest I did get the latest Zaino. I have a silver truck so I use the Z2, which is best for light colors and the Z5 is best for dark colors. I have put another 3 coats of Z2 on about a month ago. For me it is hard to tell a difference because the shine is so good to begin with. It may very well be “better” but it is really hard to tell.

As far as being slicker that too is hard to tell. I use the Z6 Gloss Enhancer after putting on all the coats. The Z6 is more slick then the Z2 or Z5. So even if the new Z2 is slicker it is “not” slicker then the Z6 makes it.

I would think the only way to tell if the new Z2 has a better shine and slicker then the old Z2 would be to do the hood or something, half with the old with 3 coats and half with the new with 3 coats. Other then that I really can’t tell much difference.

RockPick is a strong believer in Meguires. You know Meguires new slogan right?

When you just don’t have the time for a great shine…

Yeah and it's mine! Sorry RockPick, you're not the only one who achieves perfection with Meguires. Oh but I do use the buffer.

Here comes the Meguires user to HIGHJACK a friendly thread about Zaino. Just minding our own business, having some friendly conversation and -- BOOM --, its HIGHJACKED…

We Zaino users never do that…

Damn man... I **REALLY** wish that was my problem. I've all but forgotten what to do when it comes to that subject... Isn't that part of it?

Move into a house where none of the neighbors can hear anything (unlike the apartment) and suddenly stop all together? I thought that was a written rule somewhere...

Who needs another powertool when you can achieve perfection with elbow grease. Whoa... wait a minute... did I just hear myself right? No more powertools?

Oh dear god... my wife has sucessfully reprogrammed me... oh dear god. Are there 10 step programs to help solve my condition? PLEASE TELL ME THAT THEY EXIST...

(*bangs head on desk* YOU NEED A DO... YOU NEED A DO... YOU NEED A DO...)

I would probably try it your way but I'm sure your arm gets a lot more bending at the elbow than I do and are used to rubbing one out.

I'll quit now.
