Advice taken- Results here

Well for the last two weeks I have been visiting this forum and reading and learning. I thought I knew how to clean an automobile. Well I was wrong! I took alittle bit of everyones advice and direction and detailed my 01 SCrew. Guys ya'll are great! It looks better than I ever thought it could. THANKS!
I used the Meguiars products and they were much better than the Turtle Wax/NuFinish/etc... stuff I have been using for the last twenty five plus years. I am going to be trying some other products in the future but for now MAN this is 100% better than before. See ya!

Thats excellent and Meguiars makes some very fine products. Before I joined this web site I use to use the store products like NuFinish and others and in my opinion they just sucked and didn't do much...

I use Zaino which is another excellent product among many others. This is a great site with a wealth of information...

There are alot of great products out there on the market and you've used a product that is a stand by for numerous enthusiasts across the world. Meguiars is a company that truly stands by their product as you would expect any company that has been in business over 100 years to do.

I'm really glad you got the results that you desire and like the products. Your truck looks awesome. Feel free to ask any other questions that you may have as there's someone here that uses just about any product on the market that you can imagine.

Cheers,

RP

Thanks for all the compliments. I used Dawn to wash the SCrew first. Then I used Meguairs polish #7, then wax#26 then a coat of Quick Wax. I wanted to try the clay bar, but the Autozone and Wallyworld didn't have it and I was impatient. BUT I will try the clay next time.
Well of course it rained the night I did this (first time in almost 3 weeks) So I got out the Meguairs Quick Detail and surprise surprise suprise. Couldn't believe it. And yes I did get me some Micro Fiber Towels, man what a difference they make. I used Eagle One Tire Shine. Also after washing the wheels I used the QD and then QW on them. I am learning. Can't wait to use a clay bar next time and see the difference. Again thanks for the help.

You won't really see the results of clay honestly. Clay is a prepretory method to remove all of the stuck on contamination. It can, to a certain extent, help the optical qualities for your paint however; that's only because it's removing something that would've proven to be obstructing an angle.

In short, it'll remove the stuck on 'stuff' that all vehicles accumulate over time and make your finish as smooth as glass....

If you think the finish is smooth now, just wait till you clay that sucker. I just finished doin' my truck 3 weeks ago. Clay, cleaner, polish and wax with all Meguiars products. I did their three step process with the clay as the pre-step. It was so damn smooth that the bottle kept sliding off the hood near the front. I even got the wife to help do all the work. Lets just say it only took me 2 hours from begining (wash) to the last wipe off of the wax coat. I love her very much.

Easiest way to post from your gallery is to click on the pictures you want to open. When it opens up you will see a Forum Codes line at the top right above the edge of the picture. You want to click on that and it will spit up another window that gives the codes for a fullsize picture or a thumbnail picture of your orig. picture. Just cut and paste it into the forum and your all set. Remember lots of big pics are unfriendly to the 56k crowd....

Heres a example of yours:

And one of mine or the smaller model of yours:
