Help! What is this part?

I could be wrong, but I believe it to be a Kniblin Pin. It is found in the left side of the Vasilator housing, just above the brake pedal and to the right of the emergency brake. Your truck must be a standard transmission, because I don't believe the Automatics use the Vasilator housing any longer. For many years Ford vasilatated between using them and not using them, finally giving them up somewhere during the 1994 model year. I would put it in the glovebox and wait for a recall notice. Don't let little things like this knibble away at you, look at the big picture, your truck still runs okay, right?

It's the big brother to that mushroom shaped thing they put in the trans pan.
