Black is a very difficult color to deal with...
My personal preference is Meguiar's #26 Premium Yellow Carnauba Wax. You can find it at your local Pep Boys or AutoZone or order online at www.meguiars.com
A few words of advice when messing with a black vehicle.
1. Swirls are going to happen. Black is an awesome color but, eventually, you're going to have to deal with them. Utilize a product like Meguiars #9 swirl remover to deal with them. This product does a great job of concealing and eliminating the pesky swirl.
2. Use a VERY HIGH QUALITY towel when drying. Don't go skimpy here as any tiny scuff, swirl, scrape, etc, is going to be very visible on black. By using high quality 100% cotton high pile terry cloth or very high quality microfiber towels to remove wax/polish as well as to dry your vehicle, you're much less likely to blemish your finish.
3. Take your time and great care with your wash sponge. Many like a lambswool wash mit or a 100% cotton chenile wash pad. Make sure whatever is touching your paint is high quality and that you're utilizing a good car shampoo like Meguiar's Gold Class or something similar. Don't skimp on car shampoo and dish washing liquid is a 'no-no'.
I hope this gives you a little insight. It's by far and away not the full car car perscription but, specifically with black, I thought it'd be helpful to provide you with a little extra insight to keep your new baby looking sharp.
Feel free to email me or post any questions that you have about additional car care items. Wax is a personal preference. My suggestion is to try a few high quality waxes and go with what works best for your lifestyle and expectations.

seeme2020,
I think RP hit the nail on the head............... be careful with the tools you use to wash/apply/remove products. Keep the paint as clean and swirl free as possible, and the rest will take care of itself! The #26, and they Meguiar's line will certainly do the trick! There are also a bunch of other products that will work equally well!
Good luck, and if you have anymore questions.......... fire away!

My 99' was Oxford white. I found the best look (for me) was Zaino! Klasse AIO/SG was also very good. At the time Platinum's Ultimate Paint Protection was not available. If It had been, it would probably be my current choice.
All the above products are synthetic products with very good durability. They are also very clear, and reflective. I find white, and other light colors to be a little tougher to give that needed "POP", and the synthetics with their clarity and reflectiveness seem to be products that provide that.
On a side note, Meguiar's is coming out in Feb. with it's "super polymer" to compete with the above products. The product line is called NXT Generation. You may want to consider those products too.
Hope this helps.
