I'd also get the Clear View glass cleaner.... Z12 I think....
Welsome to the world of Zaino. Great company with great products. After 50 years of keeping vehicles clean andshiny, Zaino came along and sure made it a lot easier to keep'em that way......
Just think about polishing things for valentines....!!!!
Be sure to get her to thrown in some MF towels.......

Personally I went with the Starter package because it had everything you needed and cost a little less than buying the products individually. The only thing that came with my kit that I didn't really need or want was the free cotton applicators. My kit contained the following
Z7-car wash (needed because it helps replenish the polish)
Z6-detail spray (needed because it really gives it that final pop)
Z2-polish (great for light colors or dark but adds alot of shine)
Z5-polish (good on dark colors some prefer over Z2 on dark color)
I personally have a dark color and I like the effect I get by using both Z2 and Z5 I do 2 coats Z5 then one final coat of Z2.
ZFX-polish accelerator (must have or the polish will not stick to the vehicle)
Z18-clay bar (gotta clay the vehicle first before you apply the polish and I have found their price on the clay is competitive)
That is my experience with the Z. I love the stuff!

I use Cook Top that I bought at Sear's, it is cheaper and works just as good as the Zaino glass cleaner. I bought the Zaino and tried it against the Cook Top, no difference except price.
Just something to think about...

01 XLT.....
Yeah, I've heard about porcelean cleaners for use on vehicle glass but I'm kinda resistant to using anything not specifically manufactured for vehicle surfaces...... has anyone used the "cook top" cleaner and got it on a painted surface of a vehicle yet????
That is what I would worry about.

If you were to get either on the vehicle paint my recommendation would be to wet the area well before removing it, like some soap from a bucket, and once wet washing it off like you would do to a mud stain…
I would imagine that either the Zaino or Cook Top could possible damage the paint if someone were to try buffing it on the paint, but I do not know that for sure.

You can save a few coin by getting your claybar elsewhere. I went to wallyworld & got some clay magic when I was out. It comes with it's own lube & works great. Cost is around $10.

That is definately a fair price for clay IMHO. I pay right around that same amount for Meguiar's Body Shop Professional clay...
Unless you live in some weird environment where stuff is falling out of the air and 'sticking in' your paint, those two bars will last you a couple of years most likely...
Again, remember to chop the clay up into a couple of pieces prior to using it. That way, if you drop a piece on the ground, you can chuck it and still have a new piece remaining.
IF YOUR CLAY BAR HITS THE GROUND, IT'S TRASH. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
One tiny grain of sand, positioned correctly within the clay will RUIN your paint. Don't take that risk.
