Thumbs up My '02 Lightning and my first Zaino experience (your 56K might explode)

Hey all!!

I decided to try Zaino on my '02 L this weekend to see what all the buzz is about. Before my truck got Zaino'd it had been thoroughly polished about two weeks ago using Meg's #80 along with a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 5.

My Zaino process this weekend was:

Wash with blue Dawn

Clay with Z-18 using Z-6 as a lube

Wash with Z-7

Apply 3 coats of ZFX'd Z5 with a terry applicator with a coat of Z-6 applied after removal of each layer

24 hours later...

Apply 3 coats of ZFX'd Z2 with a terry applicator with a coat of Z-6 applied after removal of each layer

Overall I am pleased with the ease of use of the Zaino products. The look they provide on my silver paint is bright with clear and sharp reflections. Nothing to make my jaw drop but indeed nice. If it is a durable as most folks say it is I will continue to use them.

Here are a bunch of pics..

Enjoy,
Mike

Looks great

I always noticed that it looks better 72 hours after the initial 3 coats. You will love the durability tho.....the tough part is actually waiting the six month to re-apply.

You may also want to try Z2 on your Silver color??

That's one nice looking L! Zaino does seem to work quite well on lighter colors although 01XLTSport gets some phenomenal results on meduim blue. I think if somebody used the process (and effort) you did on your truck, they could make Yellow Zinc Oxide Primer look great though. Keep up the good work!
