Permanently stained trim

I left some 3MFI when I was polishing a truck and now the door handles are Permanently stained off white. I tried everything to remove witout no luck. I might have to buy new ones but I want to know can door handle (Plastic) trim be restained with a black stain or paint????
Thank You

I believe it could be painted but, I have a hunch that it'll be less durable and potentially tough to maintain.

Tough call man... Let us know what you go with on that one...

Is this a client's vehicle?

Argh...

What all have you tried to remove it? Also, what is 3MFI... I've heard of and read about 3M PI (perfect-it) but, not FI... or, at least I don't remember...

3MFI = 3M Finesse-It a polish compound
I tried 3m wax remover, degreasers, brushing, trim restorers

Right now I'm looking at Forever Black Bumper & Trim Reconditioning Dye, I think that should do it
Forever black bumper dye http://www.properautocare.com

Thanks RP

I recommended it based on MY experiences but, now that I've seen what a ME in the wrong hands under the right circumstances, I hesitate to offer that advice.

It worked PERFECTLY for me... but, I won't recommend it based on dz's experience...
