How to keep kitty off my truck?
Anyone know of a commercially available cat repellent that can be used safely on a vehicle without damaging the paint? I get awfully frustrated when I find a feline lounging on the hood of my truck! Makes me wanna reach for a .22, but I'm trying to explore other options at this point. Any suggestions?

There was someone on this forum who is using the ultrasonic device/fence to protect his vehicles from cats/dogs. I don't remember who it was. I found the thread, it was Dennis, here is the url he is talking about: Click Here

The cat actually belongs to a neighbor near my friend's house. He has this problem on a daily basis with his vehicle. However, I get the same treatment whenever I visit. My friend has actually "ambushed" the cat several times and sprayed it with water, but it hasn't worked. I think I may try the Ultrasonic approach first and see what happens over a month. If I don't see paw prints on the hood, then I'll assume it's working. If not, I'll invest in a cover. In any case, I'll let you all know. Thanks for the ideas!

However, my personal experience with most animal owners has been that they think their darling fluffies (Spot or Puff -- it doesn't seem to matter) can do nothing wrong. When you approach them with a complaint about their beast, they come off as if everyone should just stop picking on them and their adorable little fur ball!
As I write this I am listening to my neighbor's Schnauzers (sp?) as they bark away in his back yard -- but according to him, his dogs never make a sound!
