Yea I did it! (more pics)

Took my bed cover off today so I could have better access to it using the polisher.

I started off washing it with meguiars gold class shampoo and conditioner, clayed it, put down a coat of scratch x, then the cleaner, polish, then topped it off with the gold class wax.

Its now swirl and scratch free, slick as a babys behind, and smells good enough to eat.

I have the truck washed and now in the garage to polish it.....Looks like I will be in the garage all night.

It was in bad shape actually. I worked for 12 hours yesterday on it and 5 more today. My hands and feet are mush.

Time to buy a machine! (or do you already use a PC?)

Your time treating your truck will decrease after you get very comfortable with using your PC. I was pretty slow in the beginning but now it has really helped me out getting the look I want without spending all that time on it. Don't get me wrong, claying, polishing, scratch and swirl removal, and three coats of wax still takes a long time, but just not as much.

Good point GBT...

Don't expect the machine to save the world but, certainly expect it to help out on time and ease.

The machine will cut down on my waxing time, but it takes me forever to clean this truck due to the fact I obsess over the under carriage being spotless. I have to get down on my back with the steam jeanie and clean and clean on it just to get it back to new....Thanks alot muddy roads.

Looks great, taking it off definitely is a big plus. I like to see people who take their detailing serious. Keep up the great work!!!!
